Privacy Policy
StreamPeek is a Chrome extension for previewing live Twitch channels while you browse. This page explains what the extension accesses, what it stores locally, and what it does not collect.
What StreamPeek collects
StreamPeek does not collect, store, or sell personal data on its own servers. The extension does not run a backend service for user accounts, analytics profiles, or marketing tracking.
What StreamPeek accesses
- Twitch page content: The extension reads supported Twitch pages so it can detect live channels and render hover previews.
- Local extension storage: StreamPeek stores your preview audio preferences, such as mute state and volume level, in your browser.
- Twitch authentication context: If you are signed in to Twitch, the extension may use Twitch page authentication data already present in your browser session to request the same preview access Twitch would normally provide in the page experience.
How that information is used
The information above is used only to make the extension work: detecting supported live channels, loading previews, and remembering your audio settings between sessions.
What StreamPeek does not do
- It does not create user accounts.
- It does not upload your browsing activity to a StreamPeek server.
- It does not sell personal information.
- It does not use your stored preferences for advertising.
Third-party services
StreamPeek works on Twitch and requests Twitch-hosted media and related Twitch resources needed to show previews. Those requests are subject to Twitch's own policies and infrastructure.
Data retention
Any settings saved by StreamPeek remain in your local browser storage until you clear extension data, remove the extension, or change the stored values through normal extension use.
Your choices
You can stop all extension access at any time by disabling or uninstalling StreamPeek from Chrome. You can also clear browser extension storage through Chrome's extension management tools.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if StreamPeek changes how it handles data or if new extension features require clearer disclosure. The latest version will be published on this page.
